Control your  Smarthome Controller  from anywhere in the world using any touchtone phone! With this expansion card, you can remotely change the temperature, arm your security system, close the garage door or turn lights on or off simply by pressing a touchtone code from any phone inside or outside your home. Any sequence of tones can be programmed to trigger any actions including  events, macros or IR sequences. You can also enter variable numbers -- a great way to adjust thermostat temperature settings. It can even dial out when certain conditions are met. For instance, the system can call your cell phone if your alarm is triggered or if the temperature sensor in the basement detects dangerously cold temperature levels. The possibilities are endless!

This powerful add-on detects both on- and off-hook conditions -- perfect for programming your HomeVision to mute your stereo or TV when the phone rings, so you don't have to scramble for the remote. Or it can alert you when the phone is ringing by flashing lights or activating an alarm. You can even have the audio system resume the previous volume when you hang up the phone!

The expansion card also provides an extra serial port that can be used to exchange data between any RS-232 device and your Home Vision System. You can also use it for running voice-activated software like HAL 2000 or HomeVoice without having to keep a separate PC booted up. The unit connects to the HomeVision controller with the included ribbon cable. Power comes from the HomeVision unit, so no separate power supply is needed. An optional plastic enclosure is included.
